It is also noticeable in low gears without a change, if the accelerator is lifted then pressed again, there is a thump, that sounds like the clutch re-engaging, but with no change requested, this doesn't sound right.
On initial drive away, the hesitant set off was cured, however after few miles of low speed driving, especially in auto, changes feel very mechanical with a bit of a thump as the clutch drops in. I recently took the CSL in for a service and MOT at BMW, and asked them to check the gearbox software version as was getting tired of some fairly hesitant low speed set off's.Īnyway, turned out it didn't have the latest version, so got them to update it (theres no reference of the invoice so can only assume this is 'the' latest version).
